GDI-EE

Introduction

GDI-EE is the Estonian node of the GDI Europe network that works towards enabling genomic data discovery and access across borders. GDI-EE has developed data pipelines and dataset management platform to make it possible for local researchers and clinicians to securely share their data, and also gain access to genomic data generated in other European countries. Data submitted to GDI will be made discoverable in a European User Portal and access granted via formal application procedure. The infrastructure deployment duration is until October 2026.

GDI-EE mission

To make Estonian genomic datasets visible and reusable via European User Portal.

GDI-EE provides:

  • Graphical user interface for intuitive dataset and organisations management
  • Data pipelines for dataset preparation and submission
  • System integration with European User Portal for data discovery
